A Letter from Brian & Massiel

Hello!  We are a happily married Christian couple from California ready to become first-time parents through the blessing of adoption!  We will be supportive, positive, and loving parents for your child and will ensure he or she will grow to experience the love of God and family. We enjoy the outdoors, prayer, playing games, and traveling to learn more about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life.   We are so delighted that you found our profile and look forward to getting to know you and your hopes for your child’s future!

About Us

We have been happily married for eleven wonderful and blessed years. When we first met, we felt an instant connection. From every date we had to every day of our marriage, we have grown together in faith through prayer and are grateful for the many blessings we have received.

We value spending time with family and friends, whether it is to gather at home for a meal or to go out for an adventure.  We cherish the opportunities to travel to different parts of the world to explore new cultures, foods, and beautiful scenery. There is nothing like experiencing the beauty of the world around us and we are excited to share those memories with your child.

About Massiel

Massiel is a kind, smart, thoughtful, faithful, and beautiful soul. She is supportive and encouraging and is always looking to help others who are in need. She likes to volunteer and dedicates time to prayer and reading the Bible. She enjoys life and likes to have fun by traveling to new locations and hosting dinner parties for family and friends.

She has taught for over ten years in preschool and has shown a passion for teaching young children. She believes young people should learn through fun activities, such as painting, cooking, dancing, and singing. She also believes in encouraging creativity and using one’s imagination through role-playing and playing games. She looks forward to reading stories with your child and helping him/her develop a love for reading. She will be truly an amazing mother who will unconditionally love and care for your child.

About Brian

From the moment I got to know Brian, I fell in love with him because of his faith, love for family, and his good sense of humor. He is very smart and clever and likes to figure out things on his own. He is a principal at a local Catholic high school and enjoys working in the field of education. He enjoys spending time with my nieces playing hide-and-seek, tag, and other fun games.  He loves grilling on his BBQ and rooting for his favorite teams. Brian enjoys good meals and cooking for me and our family and friends. He looks forward to teaching our child how to pray, play sports, and enjoy the simple things in life. He is a wonderful and supportive husband and will be a dedicated, supportive, and loving father to your child.

Our Family

Family is very important to us! Massiel has two sisters that live in the same area, one of whom is married and has two adorable nieces (ages 10 & 8) that we enjoy spending time with. There are also a number of relatives that live very close.  Brian’s family is also in California (but they are a little further away) and usually spends time with them a few times during the year. Our family has been extremely happy and supportive of our desire to adopt. Your child will be fully welcomed with open arms into our extended family!

Our Home in Central California

We live in a cozy three-bedroom home with a backyard patio and garden. We love to spend time outside and enjoy our outdoor patio for dining and relaxing. We also have a prayer room that is dedicated to God where we spend time daily. We have converted our guest room into a nursery complete with comfortable furnishings, toys, stuffed animals, and everything needed to care for an infant. We look forward to the fun of decorating it with their interests as they grow.

Our quaint town is family-friendly, has many parks and activities for children, and is a safe place for your child to make friends and go to school.

Our Promise

We are wholeheartedly committed to raising your child in a loving and nurturing environment. Our emphasis will be on growing in faith, education, values, connecting with extended family, and creating lasting memories filled with so many fun family adventures. We are open to sending you updates regularly through letters and photos. We are also open to scheduling visits for you as well!

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests

We love to travel to different parts of the world, immersing ourselves in the culture, traditions, and food. We learn so much about ourselves and others by experiencing the different ways people live, work, and enjoy life. Our favorite memories are derived from our travels.
We enjoy spending time with our family, especially taking care of our two nieces. Through playing games, reading books, coloring, cooking lessons, and helping with homework, we do our best to help them develop good habits while having fun.
We like to spend time going out to try restaurants, walking in our scenic neighborhood, hiking in the local mountains, enjoying a movie in a theater, attending concerts and musicals together, and taking scenic drives.

Our Faith

We are faithful Catholic-Christians who actively participate and attend Mass in our local parish. Brian is the principal of a Catholic High School, has taught Theology, and is a lector (reader) at Sunday Masses. Massiel teaches CCD and has volunteered on different committees at the parish.
Faith is at the heart of our marriage and it is God who strengthens and sustains us in our loving relationship.
Prayer is a very important part of our lives. We have a room dedicated to prayer with a small altar where we pray every day. We are devoted to praying the rosary together daily, a prayer devotion that strengthens us in our faith and sustains us in our marriage.

About Our Home

We live in a three-bedroom home with one room that is specifically set aside for your child. The home is kept clean and includes an outdoor area with grass, a garden, and a patio. We will always have a supply of games, puzzles, crayons, building materials, and educational toys for your child.
