A Letter from Jonathan & Sarah
Howdy, from the great state of Texas!
We are Jonathan and Sarah and we love board games, humor, and taking road trips together. We enjoy serving in our community, being joyful, and volunteering with our church. Birthdays, Christmas, and holidays are a big deal in our house, with both sides of the family bringing out the food, gifts, and games. We are beyond thrilled to become first time parents through adoption! We look forward to going bowling, visiting parks, and doing holidays with our first child!
We met back in 2014 at a Christian conference. Jonathan was a speaker and Sarah was attending as a musician. We hit it off and were married in 2016! After our wedding, as we exited the Church for our honeymoon, we surprised our guests by pulling out water guns. It made for a wonderfully fun addition to our special day!
Once married, we immediately tried to start our family however, after six miscarriages and several years of infertility, we felt like the Lord was leading us to adopt. We both share a passion for music and love to volunteer and attend our church. We love to go on trips together! Touring D.C., visiting Niagra Falls, Lake Tahoe, and the greatest place on earth (according to Sarah) Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We are thrilled to now grow our family through adoption and look forward to sharing our passion for traveling and music with your child.
Jonathan is dedicated, kind, and has very witty humor. He works as a policy director for a Christian organization. In a normal week, you might find him at the Capitol talking with legislators, or speaking at various engagements. When not pouring over law books and court cases, he loves taking apart cars and repairing them. He also enjoys strategy games, volleyball, and outdoor activities, like canoeing, or deer hunting. Jonathan looks forward to sharing his love of working on cars, his “dad jokes”, and making home movies with our child. He desires to lead us in a way that honors the Lord – always encouraging me and others to forgive, love, and be kind with our words. He is a hard worker who always makes family time a priority. He has a very tender heart for little ones and will be an amazing dad!
Sarah is kind, driven, generous, and compassionate- especially for the homeless, elderly, and disabled. She is an amazing musician on both the piano and violin and has been a music teacher for 10 years. She loves to share her music with others by playing at nursing homes and at hospital outreach programs. Sarah is bubbly, loves to make others laugh, and has such a tender heart that others are drawn to her and feel safe in speaking to her- even when they may be shy. She enjoys making our house lovely, cooking delicious food, and fellowshipping with her friends and family. Sarah is so excited to nurture our child in a loving home, where truth of scripture is taught and she can help teach them a biblical worldview. She is so excited for baby cuddles, playing tag in the yard, and playdates with friends and family.
We love our 3-bedroom house! We live out in the peaceful Texas country hills. Lots of beautiful landscapes and nature, yet close to the big city perks. Where we live, we have easy access to a lake, parks, baseball fields, a large city for activities, and fun field trips. We have 2 outdoor dogs who are very affectionate and friendly.
We have a beautiful nursery set up with a comfortable, gray crib all ready! We often host friends with little kiddos and our open floor plan makes a fun play area for little ones.
Jonathan comes from a large Christian family that is very active in their Church and their community. They are a joy-filled, lively, fast-paced family. Lots of singing happens at their house. They live on 11 acres with large trees, playscapes, and plenty of room for family fun water fights. They live about 4.5 hours from us – we love going to visit them every couple of months.
Sarah comes from a small, tight-knit family that is very active in their Church. They are goofy, generous, and caring people. Her dad is the Pastor of our local Church and, being as they are so close, we see them often! Some of our favorite games to play with them are Spike ball, Settlers of Catan, and nerf gunfights. We love traveling and serving together and enjoy our Sunday evening game nights.
Our extended families are so excited about our adoption! Both sets of grandparents have their names picked out and are super excited to finally get to be – Meemaw & Poppy, and Grandpa & Grammy.
We promise to give your children a loving, two-parent, Christian home, where our families will be heavily involved in their life. We look forward to family dinners at the table, weekend road trips, game night at grandparents’ house. We will serve as a family together in different Christian ministries and will make it a priority to help shape them through a good education. Finally, we promise to share the love of God and His commandments with them and make that our primary focus as a family. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing pictures, letters, and visits.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
When Jonathan isn't pouring over law books and court cases, he loves taking apart cars and repairing them. This is one of his favorite things to do with his father-in-law. He loves strategy games, volleyball (he is very competitive), and outdoor activities, like canoeing or deer hunting. Another thing he greatly delights in doing is speaking at various Christian events. He is the one you want on your team to lead you to the winning goal.
Sarah loves writing bible studies, arranging music, taking in baby animals and raising them, learning new recipes, ministering at nursing homes, and helping out at Christian events. She is a people person and the life of the party. You can be pretty sure she is the one cracking a joke or making silly faces at the next get-together.
We are Christians, saved by the Grace of God through the sacrifice of Jesus for us on the cross. We are eternally grateful for His mercy towards us and love Him immensely. It is our goal to live in a way that is pleasing to Him.
We attend Church every Sunday. Jonathan is a music leader and Sarah is one of the Church musicians. Sarah's dad is one of our pastors. We have daily Bible time, sing hymns throughout the week, and seek out ministry opportunities as a family. Even in Jonathan's job, He gets an opportunity to stand up for things found in God's word. That is one reason he wanted to become a lawyer. In Sarah's job she is able to teach young children the gift of music, a way to worship the Lord through song is such a good way to minister to others.
Our Musical Interest
We love old hymns, contemporary Christian music, bluegrass music, fiddle/folk, and easy listening. Sarah is quick to turn on the radio every time she gets in the car. Music just lifts your spirit!
About Our Home
Our home is comfy! We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, home out in the hill country of Texas. Plenty of room to run around and play, with less than a 20 min drive to several large cities. We have a beautiful view from our front porch of green trees, and a field that is full of calves every spring.

The great state of Texas is our home! The lone star state. The beef state. The super-American-state.
We live in a small-town community that has several beautiful parks, baseball fields, and are a very short drive to a lake.
