A Letter from Michael & Jenay
Welcoming a child into our hearts and home would be our great joy and privilege, and we’re honored to be considered as adoptive parents for your child! We look forward to learning about you, your story, and the dreams you have for your baby.
Adoption has been a dream of ours since dating. After the birth of our son, we experienced secondary infertility and two pregnancy losses. Through it all, our desire to grow our family never waivered. After much prayer, we know it’s time, and we’re ecstatic to pursue our dream of adoption! Our son will be a wonderful big brother, and he’s as excited as we are to welcome another member to our family! We’d love to share with you about how we can love and provide a wonderful life for your child.
We met online and then in person a couple months later. Dating long distance allowed us to build a great communication base and grew a unique appreciation for spending time together. We got married after a year of dating and, 11 years of happy marriage later, our relationship is secure and stable, built on the strong foundation of our mutual faith. We enjoy going out together, reading and discussing books, and hosting game nights with friends.
Becoming parents to our son, Fitzmichael, has filled our lives with so much joy! As a family, we treasure time together–playing soccer in the backyard, Sunday movie nights, and bedtime stories are a few of our favorite activities. We’re very much looking forward to including our next child in these activities and making many more cherished memories!
Michael is a wonderful, loving husband and a caring father who is purposeful to spend time investing in our family. Whether letting Fitz help with house projects, playing games, or teaching him how to treat others, in all things Michael works hard to set an example worth looking up to.
Michael loves going on road trips, listening to audio books, and challenging himself in new endeavors. He is a great example of gentleness, generosity, and perseverance. He works hard as an aerospace engineer and is an excellent provider for our family. He’s looking forward to teaching our children to build amazing Lego creations, higher level math and physics, and coaching their soccer teams. I’m so excited to see him as a father to our next child!
Jenay is an amazing wife and a fantastic mom who lovingly cares for our family and household. She used to be an English teacher, but she’s so thankful to stay home in this season of life. Whether reading books, planning family outings, or teaching Fitz’s Sunday school class at church, in all things Jenay lovingly labors to help Fitz learn and grow.
She loves using her gift of music, taking walks in nature, gardening, and hosting fun-filled celebrations. Jenay is always looking for ways to show God’s love to everyone she meets and has a passion for hospitality. She is thoughtful, intentional, helpful, and hard working. She’s very excited to teach our next child to decorate cupcakes, love reading, and enjoy the great outdoors. I’m eager to see her love and nurture another little one!
Our 7 year old son, Fitz, is such a treasure! He’s full of energy and loves people of all ages. He relishes helping our family host friends and adores going on playdates. His laugh is infectious and his endless giggles make us think we’re a lot funnier than we actually are! He loves learning and delights in exploring nature and discovering new facts about animals. Fitz is incredibly excited to become a big brother and prays every night for the sibling(s) God will bring to our family!
We both come from big families and are thankful for extended family. Your child will be welcomed by two grandmothers, five uncles, seven aunts, and eighteen cousins! Though they are spread out (from Texas to Virginia), we get together as often as we can and always enjoy whatever time we get. One of Jenay’s sisters lives in town, so we love to see her weekly and to spend holidays with her. She is Fitz’s favorite babysitter, and he’s always excited to have a sleepover at Auntie’s house!
It’s been Michael’s lifelong dream to design and build his own unique home, so several years ago we began planning for this. Michael worked hard to design (even drew up the blueprints) for our unique, octagon shaped house that spirals around itself in a helix. It’s truly one of a kind! With Michael as general contractor and Jenay as project manager, we began building our amazing dream home. We hired help, but we got to do a lot of the work ourselves. It’s been an amazing process!
We moved into the new house late last year! Now we’re making plans for outdoor projects. With 5 acres to play with, we look forward to planting a large garden and orchard, and creating an outdoor obstacle course– perhaps even building our own drive in theater. We love this house and are beyond excited to raise our family in a place we imagined and created ourselves!
Our home is a place of belonging and becoming, and we will work to ensure that your child knows how much he or she is loved by God, by us, and by you. We promise to work as tools of grace to help them learn and grow. We will provide a safe, nurturing home, financial stability, a quality education, and support and encouragement to help them build character and develop faith.
Your child’s adoption story will be cherished and your place in his or her life will always honored. We’d love to get to know you better and are open to staying in contact as you desire. We are praying for you!

|More About Our Family
|Our Faith & Church Family
Our faith is our firm foundation, and we strive to build our lives upon Christ, the Solid Rock. We endavor to teach our son to know and love Jesus, and we continually seek to grow in our own faith as well. We make it a priority to do devotions together and pray for our family every night. We desire to honor and glorify God in all things and to be conduits of His grace and love to those around us.
God has blessed us with a wonderful church family that is praying for you and your child and looks forward with us to welcoming him/her with open arms! Fitz LOVES our church, and he has told us many times that he wants to "stay there forever!" with all his friends!
|Hospitality in Our Home
Welcoming others (becuase God has welcomed us) is a value our family holds dear. Every holiday finds our table full of friends (often others without family around), and we are mutually blessed and formed by these relationships. We also love to host game nights and have others over for dinner because we see our home as a stewardship. We pray that all who enter our doors will know the love, encouragment, and grace that Christ has so freely bestowed on us.
|Favorite Family Traditions
Michael: Every Sunday evening, we have popcorn and smoothies for dinner (after a big Sunday lunch) and watch a movie together as a family. I look forward to this special, set aside time every week! It recharges me for the week ahead! (I also love the family dance party that happens during the credit music every week, too!)
Jenay: CELEBRATION! I love to celebrate and look for every excuse I can! Michael finishes a big project at work? Let's go out to dinner to celebrate! Fitz got a perfect score on a spelling test at school? He gets to pick the family game that night to celebrate! Who says St Patrick's Day isn't a "big" holiday? Let's have a special Ireland themed dessert to celebrate! Don't get me started on birthday parties!! It is important to me to look for God's grace and goodness and to celebrate it, in both the big and the small, every chance I get!
Fitz: Every week night after dinner, we play a game-- I love it! Whoever won the most games the week before gets to pick the game for the next week. My favorite game is UNO Flip because I win that game a lot!
|The Great Outdoors
Our family loves being outside! We enjoy gardening, walking, hiking, playing at the playground, kicking around the soccer ball, exploring at the nature center, and feeding animals at the wildlife park. We have a family goal to visit all 61 National Parks, so many of our travel adventures revolve around that aspiration. We have loved getting to see and explore so much of God's creation!
