We love spending time together as a family and making new memories!  We are involved in our community and enjoy donating our time to others. We are thrilled to start our family through adoption and look forward to sharing our passions with your child.

We met in 2015 and have been married for almost 5 years now! We love spending time with friends and family, traveling, and taking walks with our dogs, Paige and Mika.  Both Paige and Mika love interacting with children and are big cuddlers.

Activities we enjoy:

We are excited to share these activities with your child while helping them discover what their interests and passions are!

Meet Mike (Written By Patty)

Mike is the most patient and kind person I have ever met. He is extremely thoughtful and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel special. I often come home from work to find a card and a gift from him just because he was thinking of me. Mike works as a high school teacher – teaching Physics and some AP Capstone courses. He is also an advisor to his school’s robotics team.  I love watching him interact with his students. I can see that he takes a sincere interest in helping each of them achieve their goals! I know he will be a wonderful father! Mike most looks forward to teaching our child all about Robotics and the NY Rangers!

Mike’s Interests:

-Golf
-Computer Coding
-Hockey – Go Rangers!
-Cooking
-Pokemon

About Patty (Written By Mike)

Patty has a heart of gold and will never turn someone away who needs help.  She isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves to do something correctly the first time, a trait that I am envious of.  Patty works as a staff accountant at her family’s firm.  She is often referred to as the best at what she does and has earned herself great respect in her field.  When not running the numbers, Patty explores her passions.  She often will make custom blankets for her friends with young kids and will go all out on presents for people she cares about.  Watching her interact with our family and friends lets me know that Patty will be a fantastic mother. Patty can’t wait to share family traditions and her love of volunteering with our child.

Patty’s Interests:

-Singing 90’s Music
-Sewing and Crocheting Gifts for Others
-Reading while Cuddled on the Couch
-Trying New Recipes
-Planning Our Next Disney Vacation

Our New Home in New Jersey

We live in Central Jersey – yes, Central Jersey does exist! We recently moved into Patty’s hometown in the home that her grandmother had since the 60’s.  Now her parents and sister live within walking distance, and it has been a great benefit having family so close.  We enjoy working together to renovate and redecorate the house, which we are turning into the hosting hot spot.  We have a large, fenced in backyard that the dogs love to run around in.  We can’t wait to host our first holiday dinner, and already have held many game nights with family and friends.

Also, our new town has one of the best “Main Streets” in the entire state.  We are within walking distance to over 40 different restaurants, stores, and community areas used for monthly music festivals, craft fairs, and outdoor movie-nights.  It is a fantastic area to raise our family.

Our Family and Traditions

We love spending time with our families and we feel so lucky that our families enjoy spending time together! We make it a point to see our families as much as possible and to check in with them a few times a week. Our families are our biggest cheerleaders and they are so excited for us to build our family through adoption! Some of the traditions we enjoy are:

-Going on family vacations together
-Hosting BBQs throughout the Spring and Summer
-Visiting the drive-in theater every Memorial Day Weekend
-Attending the 4-H Fair together
-Hosting themed Halloween movie nights
-Decorating a Trunk for the 4-H Trunk or Treat
-Baking Christmas cookies for all of our friends and family

More About Our Family
Our Involvement in 4-H

4-H is a youth organization for children in grades Kindergarten through freshman in College. Patty grew up as a member of our local chapter of 4-H and became an adult volunteer 10 years ago. Mike saw what a great program it was when he met Patty and became a volunteer shortly thereafter. We both believe 4-H is a fantastic organization that helps build character and allows its youth members to find common interests. We both volunteer as leaders of a sewing club where we teach our members how to pick out fabrics, read a sewing pattern, sew their projects, and model their projects in a fashion show! We are also members of our local 4-H Association. The Association helps keep the program free for all families and provides a free fair to all attendees that showcase the members' projects each summer. Patty is the treasurer of the Association, chair of the Finance committee, and helps with various fundraisers. Mike is a co-chair of the Hospitality committee, works on the yearbook, and also helps with various fundraisers. We look forward to getting a child involved in one of the many clubs available where they will be able to explore any interest they desire.

Our Faith

Patty is a practicing Catholic and Mike grew up in the Jewish faith. We both attend mass together on Sundays and are committed to raising your child in the Catholic faith. We will celebrate all Catholic holidays and some Jewish services, such as the Passover Seder. We will encourage your child to become involved in the church whether that be in the choir or as an altar server, activities that Patty enjoyed participating in as a child.

Patty's Brother is Adopted

Adoption has been a very important part of our lives. Patty's youngest brother was adopted when he was 3 months old. We have experienced firsthand how special adoption is and how it blesses families! We love celebrating his adoption and we would like you to know we would incorporate the same celebrations into your child's life. It is important to us to let you know that your child with be loved wholeheartedly and celebrated!

Fun Facts

Patty comes from a very large family and loves spending time with them! Both of her parents are the oldest of 7 children and Patty has 4 siblings and over 30 first cousins!

Mike was his high school mascot and received a varsity letter in cheerleading!
